Snack Like A Pro

Gaming and Snacking

If you are anything like me, snacking is a must during marathon gaming sessions. Sometimes it is something sweet, while other times I reach for something salty. No one really wants to take time away from their gaming session to whip up something to eat. It is best to plan ahead and have ready made snacks on hand. So, what to do when you do not want processed foods. Well, have I got a solution for you! Here are some easy to make snacks to fully sate your sweet or salty tooth while you wipe out the enemy team.

Frozen Bananas

This snack is simple, yet satisfying. Grab a few bananas that are ripened to your taste. Slice them up and dip them in your favorite treat. You can dip them in regular chocolate or white chocolate, and then cover it in sprinkles, coconut or crushed nuts. You can even put some peanut butter in between two slices, and then dip it in chocolate. The possibilities are endless. After you have covered all of the bananas, throw them in the freezer. When you’re ready for a snack, take them out and enjoy!

Easy Macaroons

Ingredients:

  • 5 1/2 cups sweetened flaked coconut (gently packed)
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened â€‹condensed milk
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons vanilla extract

Begin by heating the oven to 325 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Use a teaspoon to scoop out little mounds and place on the cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are slightly browned. Place the cookies on a rack and allow them to cool. Enjoy!

Frozen Fruit Popsicles

Items Needed:

  • Mixed fresh fruit
  • Popsicle Sticks
  • Popsicle Molds
  • Fruit Juice

Start by cutting the fruit into small pieces so you will be able to fit several into each mold. Then, place a popsicle stick into the middle of each mold. Pour juice into each, however leave the top 1/4″ empty since the liquid will expand while freezing. Put the mold into the freezer and allow to freeze for 6 hours. Now you are ready to enjoy your homemade treat!
